Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

Scorpio Races takes you to an island where there are mystical horses that live in the water. Sean is the champion for the past few years, and the book is told from the point of view of him, and a girl named Puck.

It starts out as a little confusing, jumping between the two characters, and not giving a clear view of what is going on. However, as soon as you understand what is happening, it turns into one of the best books I have ever read.

Maggie Stiefvater has written this with just the right amount of description without making it terrible (like the House of the Seven Gables).

For the entire book you think you know the ending, and yet Maggie Stiefvater finds a way to write an ending that is wonderful, unexpected, and satisfying.

I loved this book, and this is my first experience with Maggie Stiefvater's writing but it was beautifully written with an amazing plot.
