Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson

A futuristic world where robots are very common place, then a scientist accidently creates one that wants to take over the world....

Who hasn't heard this story before?

However, Robopocalypse is nothing like how I expected it. It shows the world before, during, and after when the robots take over.

The writing, at first, was very confusing and I want to have enough time to reread it now that I completely understand how it was written.

Just to help out a little, the book starts out, AFTER, the war has been fought, and then the main character finds a little black box with data the evil robot Archos has collected about his enemies aka the humans resisting him.

So then it's the main character, Cormac, going through this box and recording how humanity survived. Each chapter starts and ends with a little commentary by Cormac, and some chapters are devoted to Cormac, but most of the book is made up of others, others who sacrificed so much to try to make the world better.

I loved this book, it was written in a new way and was definitly interesting, the guy Daniel H. Wilson knows what he's talking about (being a robot scientist guy from Carnegie Mellon and all).

So, overall an interesting and awesome read, it gives you hope, makes you want to cry, all that good stuff.

I highly recommend it.
